Breakfast bars

Insula, Origami, Volo, Sospeso, and countertop: different breakfast bars for various aesthetic solutions, wood finishes,
Valcucine kitchen collections, and functionalities. Completely suspended or simply resting on the island, in the center
of the room or on the peninsula, the countertop represents not only an aesthetic focal point but also a center of daily
activities in the kitchen. It can be used as a true work surface during preparation or as an informal and convivial snack area.

Insula breakfast bar

The Insula breakfast bar can be used as if it were a table or as an informal and convivial snack area. The guiding principle behind its design continues to be the pursuit of lightness that is portrayed by the tapered edge and rounded corners. The 30° bevelled edge of the breakfast bar sets off and enhances it slender, 6 mm thickness. Thanks to the special fastening system adopted, a gap is created between the breakfast bar and the volume of the base units which makes the top look as if it is floating in mid air. Bamboo – a natural material with exceptional resistance, lightness and sustainability properties – transmits natural beauty and subtle elegance.

 Volo breakfast bar

An original interpretation of the concept of lightness led to the design of the Volo breakfast bar. The 8 cm thick and 45 cm deep pure volume is detached from the island by 2 cm, freeing itself into the empty space before it. To emphasise the separateness of the two volumes, the breakfast bar is installed 1 cm under the worktop. Thanks to its generous depth that distances it from the base unit back panels, sitting at this breakfast bar is really comfortable; it can also be used to clear the worktop so that its surface can be used to the full.

Floating breakfast bar

The breakfast bar, at the right height for a quick snack, plays visually on the surprising depth of its projection in contrast with the small, 6,4 cm deep space of its overlapon the worktop. Its volume seems to be poised in an impossible balance while it is really securely attached to the base units by means of sturdy brackets hidden in the service gap. Designed to be used together with other special elements – such as the equipped back section or Logica Theca – it makes perfectly ergonomic and functional island arrangements more than just a possibility. The 40 cm deep, 6 cm thick breakfast bar sits on the worktop above the base units which is why it is always completed by a slim, protective, front edging or by a glass splashguard if a hob or sink is installed on the top.

Countertop breakfast bar

This is a 50 cm deep set-down surface that simply sits on the worktop in an elegant balance of geometric shapes mand weights. This breakfast bar is particularly versatile thanks to the simple technology employed to install it, making room for extensive configuration and expressive options. By playing with various island depths – from 65 to 80 cm – convivial areas can be created or work surfaces preserved. Its overall height makes it particularly conducive to being used as a breakfast bar. Its 6 cm thickness is a clear reference to Valcucine’s typical module sizes that can be found in the thickness of its worktops and in the height of its plinths.

Origami breakfast bar

Inspired by the ancient eastern art of paper folding, the Origami breakfast bar is a sculptural element with a strong presence. The special workmanship adopted delivers a top and support with the same finish for an extremely sturdy yet light result. The Origami breakfast bar is elegant in its simplicity and can be used for breakfast or for quick meals as well as being an alternative to the traditional table. It can even become an additional work surface that can accommodate a hob.
