Featuring visually light lines and suspended volumes, the Symposium table is the ideal piece of furniture to complement a Valcucine arrangement. Flight and lightness – principles that Valcucine has always pursued in as much as they are an integral part of its design philosophy – result in an elegant and evocative language consisting of slim, soaring lines. Special workmanship creates a gap between the legs and the table top which looks as if it is floating in mid air. The 1 cm thickness of the top, gap and legs determines the line of this table and defines its volume. It explicitly hints to Valcucine’s typical proportions and enhances the feeling of lightness. The table’s interior structure in aluminium makes it extremely stable.

 Inspired by contemporary lifestyles, the Connexus table is connected to the kitchen and becomes an integral part of it. The work and convivial areas blend in a perfect harmony of lines and forms. The 6 or 8 cm thickness determines the line of the table and defines its volume: an explicit reference to Valcucine proportions. Lightness – a principle that inspires every part of the project – is enhanced by the black steel leg that supports the tabletop and gives it ultimate stability. The cross-section of the top seems to extend sideways into the leg, creating an L-shape with a minimalist design.
