The surface is coated with various layers of metallic-coloured lacquer and then “scratched” by hand to expose the layer below. This manual process reveals a refined, tone-on-tone metal effect.
This process is performed by hand.
Any small imperfections such as differences in shade are proof of the handicraft workmanship involved and make each piece unique and original.
